Jeffrey E. Schaefer, A.I.A., Architect and General Contractor, has a professional architectural degree from the University of Florida. Jeffrey is a member of the American Institute of Architecture, Northeast Florida Home Builders Association, and is an NCARB Certificate Holder. Jeffrey is a former Chairman of the State of Florida Architectural Licensing Board, the Clay County Zoning Board of Appeals, and a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition.

Jane B. Schaefer, Administration and Quality Control Administrator, has an associate degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Jane has over 30 years of experience with construction administration and quality control.

Jeff's company did some major remodeling work on our newly purchased house on Doctors Lake in Orange Park, FL, which in addition to remodeling, added square feet to the house. He helped us figure out what we wanted to do via his drafting skills as an architect and his knowledge as a builder. After many iterations of the proposed project, we finally settled on a plan. Knowing both the architecture and building aspects of a remodel is a very valuable, as when you suggest something that you think would be great, either the architecture knowledge or the builder knowledge might make Jeff immediately say that either its not doable (architecture side) or its not practical (builder side. Once the plans were finalized, the actual remodel went very smoothly, was completed in a timely manner and the project was finished within the budget. Jeff is easy to work with, explains everything in plain English and was very calming throughout the whole process. I would use him again and recommend him to our friends.
Jeff was retained as the general contractor to build a guest apartment attached to our existing house in Atlantic Beach. Our main house and the apartment were both designed by the architect William Morgan. The construction of the apartment was complicated, since it was suspended ten feet above the ground between two reinforced concrete towers on a heavily treed site
Jeff completed our guest house within budget and on time, with minimal disruption of our life in the main house. Working with Jeff and Jane was an absolute pleasure. He kept us apprised of the work progress, responded personally and promptly to our questions, made great suggestions for changes, and completed the work on time and within budget. We still keep in touch with him and Jane, and he has always been happy to suggest contractors when we have needed help maintaining our home. We both unconditionally recommend him as a general contractor.
We were fortunate to have Jeffrey Schaefer build our house in Queen's Harbour. As an architect as well as a very experienced general contractor, Jeff brings a lot to the table. He assisted us in interpreting the blueprints and making those small but important changes that made the home much more livable and enjoyable for us. Jeff is a "hands on' guy who kept us informed of progress, issues and proposed solutions and kept us on track for making decisions. Our house came in on time and budget with state of the art tech and some particular features not usually found in spec homes such a wheel chair ramps and a lighting rod installation.
When it came time to downsize our home sold more quickly than expected and Jeff assisted by screening potential existing homes for the required and desired changes. Team Jeff and Jane have always assisted us when we needed additional or unique to us repairs and upgrades. They maintain a roster of the best trades, shops and crews. Our present home in Julington Creek Plantation, Plantation Estates fits our needs like a glove.
